It's always a pleasure to see the colors stand out against all of the green. These shades of violet became the subject of my painting.

This is one from an early morning outing with my dog. The cool blue shadow colors of his white fur and the cast shadows on the field blended together well.

It has been fun seeing what happens with the final painting when working from a value sketch. Usually it is quite similar in mood; this time something different appeared.
