#100 Grounded eagle

I made it to 100 posts before the end of the year--and there's still some time left! Daily paintworks has been a good experience for me.  If nothing else,  it has brought awareness of how to improve my work. For example, getting the big shapes and having an idea driving each painting does yield better results.

#89 White fence, sun and shadow

I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but when I see white things in full sun falling into shadow, it appeals to me.  This fence went into shadow as it turned into the area of trees. I'll be looking for more white things to paint this week.

#31 Reader chilling

In this simple painting of someone relaxing at the beach, there is no actual sky, but the water reflecting the sky provides the same lightness. I was set up under an awning so I didn't have to protect myself from the sun.
